The Western Canadian Blind Golf Association (WCBGA) and Blind Golf Canada (BGC) are extremely excited to officially announce two blind golf events happening in your communities in 2019. Kimberley BC will be the host city for the 2019 Western Canadian Blind Golf Championships and Cranbrook, BC will be the host city for the 2019 ISPS HANDA Canadian Blind Golf Championships. The host courses will be Bootleg Gap Golf, who will host the Western Canadian Championships July 8th-July 10th and St. Eugene Golf Resort will host the ISPS Handa Canadian Championships July 11th-July 13th.
The WCBGA and BGC are seeking and hoping for valuable sponsors support from your communities to support these blind golf events and make them successful in 2019.
WCBGA and BGC hope to have full fields of participants from all over Canada, the USA, and many from other countries such as Scotland, Ireland, Japan, Italy, Israel, Australia, South Korea, South Africa, and so on. The Kootenays have previously hosted two blind golf events in Creston in 2015 and 2017.
Both these events were very successful and brought a lot of visitors to the area.
With your sponsorship support we hope to showcase the beautiful East Kootenays and your communities to our participants and their families. In addition to our events promoting your sponsorship support, we will showcase to you and your communities the "Power of Sport" and that despite being blind or partially-sighted, “WE CAN STILL PLAY”.
On behalf of our blind golf members from all over the World, I thank you in advance for your consideration of sponsorship support of our 2019 blind golf events.
In closing, I will leave you with some valuable links to the past events held in Creston, along with excellent sources of information about blind golf, the International Blind Golf Association (IBGA) and ISPS HANDA (International Sports Promotions Society).
Feel free to contact me anytime to receive more information or answer any questions you may have.
